A crazy idea for 28 euros and 81 centimes.* How about it?

NO TALKING SHOP, NO DAILY GRIND. Thalys Ostend–Paris Nord, seat 53… Sunday 9 March 2014, twenty-five minutes past five, somewhere between Ghent and Brussels. When you’re a complete unknown, how to you manage to sell a book of your photos? I mean, what do you do, what tricks can you use to attract a fan who has decided to pay ten euros to buy themselves, for example, the book At Home* available from www.blurb.com? Not to give you the wrong idea, however, it’s actually not ten but 23 euros 32 you’d have to pay to get a copy (softcover) of the book in question. This amount, plus postage, will mean your account being debited to the sum of 28 euros and 81 centimes… Hmm, perhaps a bit expensive to buy yourself some crazy images (see above) by a stranger who’s mad about sticks, dead leaves and celluloid figures, don’t you think? But happily there’s always the e-book. But that’s another (exciting) story that you’ll hopefully have the pleasure of discovering one of these days. Keep walking!
