‘I am alone and I love you. […] I am with you in the grassy landscape* that separates us. You are my loneliness.’

NO TALKING SHOP, NO DAILY GRIND… Paris, 42 rue de l’Yvette. Yvette Studio, Monday 17 February 2014, twenty-three minutes past eleven. French poet Bernard Delvaille (1931–2006) wrote these lines* that I found in 'Tout objet aimé est le centre d’un paradis' [Every beloved object is at the heart of a paradise] (Chez l’Auteur, 1957).The thread that binds me to New Still Lifes comes from my appetite for discovery. Always curious (whether books, music or films) here I can show what seems to resonate with my own pictures – ones I’ve already made or will make. Buddha bless you!
