I've forgotten everything about this photo given to a Korean friend. Who owned the bear? Why so many blacks? I no longer know.

 

It was in India. After a disappointment in love, I started seeing hearts everywhere. Today, they are a part of my life as a photographer.

 

At home, I'm rarely in front of TV. I prefer listening to Chet Baker. And have time for my little men.

 

I often make doll's photos. My fear of growing old does not explain everything. There is something else. But what?

For the Germans, there is Oktoberfest. For the Indians, the feast of Colors. And for me, every day, the feast of Still Life!

A little modeling clay, scissors, glossy paper, an old box...And the day becomes more cheerful!

It is Tom Dillibo, a former student of Harry Callahan, who has convinced me to work with dead leaves. "They love you", he said. "Don't disappoint them".

One of the pleasures of the photographer is being able to make fun of everything. Even of his own migraine.

 

Every year, I invite a color in my studio. So 2012 will be red. Pinkish, vermilion or blood red, we will see.

 

Chairwoman and dean of my hiking club, Fraulein Ruessli has just died in Bern. Recently, she had offered me two walking sticks.

Dented toys, artificial flowers, holy pictures : the objects fascinate me. I love them all.

 

A walker? A korean countess? A bishop? I prefer photos which leave room for a doubt.

Reopening of "Newstilllifes", Monday, January 16. Since yesterday, a wild desire to walk at random in Paris. Impossible to resist.
