‘If you want to take a walk, come on. I’m your man!’

NO TALKING SHOP, NO DAILY GRIND. Courbevoie, La Chancellerie, 67 Avenue Gambetta, building A, 18th floor. Thursday 20 March 2014, nine minutes past eleven.  As Newstilllifes regulars know, the aim of his blog is to tell you about my daily life as a craftsman of images, behind the scenes, and if necessary tell you the story behind my installations. In fact, in my studio I’ve got hundreds of drawings tucked away in drawers. And as I was sorting through them the other day, I hit upon the idea of showing you some of them. So here’s my first web messenger: a pilgrim who was drawn then photographed a few years ago. I called him Aaron C* in homage to the composer Aaron Copland whose symphonic poems (Naxos CD 8.559240) transport me to the plains of the American West every time I hear them. I hope that Aaron C* will make you want to go walking in the woods. For a night walk, for a picnic, or just a simple wander through town, the choice is yours. Buddha bless you!
